For years, CYBEX Pallas 2-in-1 car seats have kept children safe from toddler to teen. The Pallas G2 is the new generation, the successor of the Pallas G i-Size with its award-winning impact shield technology. In a crash, the impact shield acts in a similar way to an inflated airbag, distributing force across a wide surface area and lowering the risk of neck injuries by 40%¹. Impact shields can be secured with a single click, and are comfortable, too: Parents can secure their children with a minimum of hassle, and kids prefer them to harnesses as they have more freedom to move². In a side impact, a reclining headrest helps keep the head in a safe position. This improves safety up to seven times³, while the Linear Side-impact Protection System Plus delivers up to 20% more protection?. All-round air ventilation and a one-hand seat recline guarantee a perfect traveling environment throughout childhood.

Features:

40% Reduction in Neck Injuries¹

The Pallas G2’s integrated impact shield acts like an inflated airbag, distributing force over a large surface area. This reduces the strain on the child's neck and head, reducing the risk of neck injuries by 40% compared to harness systems. Kids prefer impact shields as they don't restrict movement while keeping them snug and secure – all thanks to award-winning technology.

Easily Secures Your Child in Seconds

Take the stress out of getting your child in or out of the car. The compact, cushioned impact shield can be secured or released with one click and is easier to use than a harness system?. It can be easily adjusted to fit your growing child using only one hand. And a locking indicator helps you make sure it's correctly secured.

Usability from 15 months until approx. 12 years

This car seat will accompany your child throughout life’s most important growth phase: from toddler to approximately 12 years old. Use the impact shield until the child is 105 cm tall or weighs 21 kgs. Then remove the impact shield to use this 2-in-1 seat for longer.

Up to 7x Safer for the Head³

Kids can sleep safely and comfortably with a reclining headrest that keeps their head securely in the safety zone of the car seat – keeping them up to seven times safer in a side impact. Recline options guarantee that every journey goes like a dream.

20% Higher Side-impact Protection?

Our L.S.P. System Plus truly keeps your child safer on every journey. It reduces the force of a side impact by up to 20% by distributing it throughout the car seat shell and headrest, giving parents peace of mind on every trip.

Optimal Breathability

Keep the air flowing and your child smiling with all-round air ventilation. The Pallas G2 Plus line also features special mesh fabric designed to be up to six time more breathable compared to other car seat fabrics – helping to keep your child cool and comfortable on warm journeys.

Perfect Sleeping Position

Recline the seat with just one hand to find your child’s perfect traveling position. Once adjusted, the backrest is designed to keep them comfortable or to help them nap on longer journeys.

Assured Safety

Safety is everything, so this car seat was designed to meet the strict criteria of the latest safety standard UN R129/04. i-Size certification means it can fit in the majority of vehicles safely secured by ISOFIX, and also guarantees enhanced side-impact protection. A robust top tether gives your child extra security.

Ancient Greece: the progenitor for modern day civilization
Format: Kindle
This enthralling text explores Ancient Greece from its Bronze age origins to its capitulation under the Roman Empire. Furthermore, it emphasizes the long-reaching impact this heterogeneous collection of city-states had on political, scientific, mathematical, philosophical, architectural, and military development. All of this was accomplished in spite of constantly shifting intra-regional conflict between Athens, Thrace and Sparta. Outside enemies like the Persian empire only complicated relations further. This sibling rivalry-of-sorts evolved when Alexander the Great's Macedonian empire conquered the Greek world and supplanted itself in the greco-persian conflict. While Macedonia's did embroil the internecine conflicts in the area they hellenized the regions they conquered, including: Persia,Egypt, and parts of India. However, when Alexander the Great died it left a power vacuum exploited by his men, the Romans, and the Ancient Greeks. This ultimately resulted in the Roman Empire. Ancient Greece set the stage for roman empire and while they were an autonomous union of city-states for much of their existence two things united them: their language and religion. These two cultural touchstones united these city-states as brothers, albeit with a love-hate relationship at times. This text explores the archaic, classic, and hellenic periods of Greek history in a fascinating and concise manner. It is a must-read.

Enlightening
Format: Paperback
I discovered a number of interesting things reading this book. I learned for example, that Sparta was indeed a warrior city, with men training to be soldiers from an early age and living in barracks, even when they were married. This and the death rate from fighting led to a low birth rate and their eventual demise. I also discovered that athletes in the original Olympics did indeed compete naked and that making a false start to a race was not a good idea, as people who did that were executed! I also learned that there were Greeks who believed the Earth was round and that it circled the sun, hundreds of years before Copernicus. I also discovered that the various Greek factions, (e.g. Athens, Sparta, Macedonia etc.) seemed to be constantly fighting one another). I knew that Alexander the Great built a massive empire but did not realize the extent of that empire until I read this tome. I also discovered that Aristotle was a student of Plato, who in turn was a student of Socrates Overall, it was a very enlightening read where I gathered all sorts of interesting facts

Bear Witness
Format: Kindle
This is an excellent read for anyone ignorant of the history of Slavery in the United States. It is this account that jolted the abolitionist movement that would later lead to the emancipation proclamation. It is a quick and powerful read of our shameful pass. But it is necessary for us to learn our pass to move forward.
